6.13. What is TurnItIn?

Turnitin is a plagiarism detection tool, which is set up by your instructor to monitor student work and prevent plagiarism, and can be used by students to help them write more effectively. This feature is currently available for the Dropbox tool.

  1. To access TurnItIn from Brightspace (D2L) and view the similarity report for a submission, select Dropbox from the Evaluation drop down menu on the course homepage.

  2. The dropbox page will open. Select a submission by clicking the link to the submission in the Feedback column.

  3. Open TurnItIn Feedback Studio by selecting the TurnItIn Similarity bar.
